PAINT TIP: When you’re buying a home or rental, ask the seller if they can leave behind any leftover paint so that you can easily do touch ups later. (Especially if you know they recently renovated the home or painted it before putting it on the market!)
If they aren’t able to leave any paint behind, ask them to take a photo of the paint color code on the paint can so that you can get your local home improvement store to re-create that same color with ease.
If you’re working with a real estate agent, they can facilitate this conversation between you and the seller! (It may not always work but it’s worth a try!) The previous owners of our house left us the paint they used and it’s made our lives so much easier!
