If you are serious about buying a home or rental within the next 3-6 months, here are 3 emails you should be getting in your inbox weekly (or daily!) so that you can keep an eye on what’s happening in the real estate market and be aware of what’s available in your price range.
# 1 Real Estate Agent Emails
Your Real Estate Agent is going to be your biggest advocate during the home buying process. Once they know what you’re looking for, they will starting sending listings your way and scheduling showings for the ones you’re interested in. If you’re looking for an agent, let me know here! I have agent friends all across the U.S. that I can connect you with.
# 2 Real Estate Search Engine Notifications
Even though your agent is sending you property listings on a regular basis, you can use Real Estate Search engine sites to look on your own as well! If you find properties this way, your agent can still take you to see them. My favorite Real Estate search engines are Roofstock and Redfin, but Zillow, Trulia and Realtor.com are other options.
You can set the email notifications so that you’re notified about new properties, and status changes to properties that you saved or “favorited”.
# 3 Investor Lists
Most wholesalers have an email list that you can subscribe to where they send out information on new properties that they have for sale. With these deals you typically have to be able to close quickly and you may be limited to making cash offers only (depends on the deal!). Because of the price point, these deals don’t last long so be prepared to act fast. Here’s a link for one of the lists I’m subscribed to for properties in Detroit. To find wholesalers in your area try searching Instagram hashtags or Googling.
>>> IMPORTANT: With all of these methods please do your due diligence on any property that you pursue! <<<
Happy House Hunting!
P.S. If you’re wondering how you can get a GET THE KEYS home buyer guide book like the one I’m holding in the photo up top, here’s the link.
